Grand Council Treaty #3 Honours Wayne Smith for 36 Years of Dedicated Leadership
Grand Council Treaty #3 and Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh would like to acknowledge and congratulate Wayne Smith on his retirement after many years of dedicated leadership.
Wayne served 34 years as Chief and 2 years on Council for Naicatchewenin First Nation. He was also a member of the Grand Council Treaty #3 Board, where he provided steady leadership, guidance, and support. His leadership, wisdom, and commitment helped build a strong foundation that will continue to guide future generations.
On February 5th, Wayne was surrounded by family, friends, band staff, and representatives from various organizations who came together to recognize the knowledge he shared and the impact he made while serving on many boards throughout the years.
