About
The Treaty #3 Investment Group (T3IG) is an ambitious initiative envisioned by the Grand Council Treaty #3 leadership to foster economic development and ownership for all Treaty #3 First Nations. Launched in 2011, T3IG strives to unite these First Nations as co-investors, stakeholders, and business owners.
In 2017, the legal groundwork was laid out, solidifying the governance model, structure, policies, and tax plan for T3IG. Additionally, funding was requested to hire a lead person to manage the corporation’s day-to-day operations. T3IG emphasizes strong values such as accountability, transparency, and integrity. These values reflect the broader principles of the Grand Council Treaty #3 and the Anishinaabe Nation.
In essence, T3IG represents a collaborative and transparent approach to economic empowerment for the Treaty #3 First Nations. With a focus on sound decision-making and risk management, T3IG aims to build a sustainable future for generations to come.
The Treaty #3 Investment Corporation is the dream and vision of the leadership of Grand Council Treaty #3.
The development and implementation of the Investment Corporation will bring together all the First Nations of Treaty #3 as investors, stakeholders and business owners.
