Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh, Grand Chief of Treaty #3 congratulates Howard Kabestra on his re-election as Chief of Naotkamegwanning First Nation
Kenora, ON — Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh, Grand Chief of Treaty #3 congratulates Chief Howard Kabestra of Naotkamegwanning First Nation on his re-election this past Saturday.
“Chief Kabestra is a great leader with a big vision not only for his community but for all of the Treaty #3 territory and its citizens,” said Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh. “He has done much for his community and I look forward to working with him on future initiatives.”
Naotkamegwanning First Nation (of the Whitefish Point) is located near Sioux Narrows on Lake of the Woods. The total registered population of Naotkamegwanning in September, 2010, was 1177, of which the on-reserve population was 713.
