Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh, Grand Chief of Treaty #3 congratulates Brian Perrault on his re-election as Chief of Couchiching First Nation

Kenora, ON — Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh, Grand Chief of Treaty #3 congratulates Chief Brian Perrault of Couchiching First Nation on his re-election for a third term this past Wednesday.

“Chief Perrault has been a strong advocate for our inherent and Treaty rights in his own community and across Treaty 3,” said Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh. “His re-election ensures that Couchiching’s voice will continue to be heard both here at home in Treaty 3 and abroad with our friends and allies as we advance the interests of our Nation.”

Couchiching First Nation is located near Fort Frances on Rainy Lake.  The total registered population of Couchiching First Nation is approximately 2600, of about 800 live on-reserve.
