With deep sadness, Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh expressed his condolences for the recent loss of Kalvin Ottertail, Elder from Lac La Croix..

“On behalf of the Anishinaabe Nation of Treaty #3, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Kalvin Ottertail of Lac La Croix” stated Ogichidaa Kavanaugh. “”Kalvin was a well known drum keeper and participated in meetings sponsored by the Anishinaabe Nation of Treaty 3. We will miss his knowledge of the Anishinaabe culture and the kind words he had for our people”.

Grand Council Treaty #3 (GCT3) is the Traditional government of the Anishinaabe Nation in Treaty #3.
