REGIONAL ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS: ANISHINAABE ABINOOJII INAKONIGEWIN

Please be advised that the Grand Council Treaty # 3 will be hosting Regional Engagement Sessions as part of education, transition and implementation of Anishinaabe Abinoojii Inakonigewin (also referred to as the “Child Care Law”).

The Regional Engagement Sessions will provide an opportunity to gather input and conduct an overview of Anishinaabe Abinoojii Inakonigewin.  During these Engagement Sessions, your participation will assist in gathering feedback, provide an opportunity to share your perspectives and identify the support required by your community in order to jointly determine the steps to be undertaken to move forward.

An Anishinaabe Abinoojii Inakonigewin Toolkit was developed and will be circulated during the Regional Engagement Sessions which are scheduled pursuant to the following dates:

Date:            March 8, 2018

Location:      Best Western Dryden – Centennial Room, Dryden, Ontario

Time:            10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Lunch to be provided.

After the Regional Engagement Sessions have concluded, we would appreciate your assistance in this important initiative by:

  1. Circulating the Anishinaabe Abinoojii Inakonigewin Toolkit in your community; and,
  2. Scheduling an Engagement Session in your community to review and discuss the Anishinaabe Abinoojii Inakonigewin.

Aapichi Gichi Miigwech for your continued commitment to improving the lives of our children and families in our communities.

We look forward to seeing you.
